General information
Triple superphosphate is the most concentrated fertilizer – 46% phosphorous pentoxide (P2O5). It’s in the shape of gray granules which vary in size from 1 to 5mm. It’s not hygroscopic.
Triple superphosphate is belongs to the group of slow-acting fertilizers, together with potassium. That’s why it’s recommended to apply it in autumn, before the main tillage – the deep plowing. It’s plowed to a depth of 35-40cm. The releasing of the active compound gradually happens in the course of 2-3 years, depending on the fertilizer rate.
It’s suitable for fertilizing all types of soil – from slightly acidic to alkaline.
Phosphorous is one of the three main ingredients together with nitrogen and potassium when creating fertilizer programs for agricultural crops. Thanks to phosphorous, an increase in the hectoliter weight of the crops is achieved. It helps the development of the root system, the absorption of water and nutrients by the plants and increases their resistance to the cold.
